Lenten Resources

Download the New Holy Week Devotional Study from Sabeel.

This booklet, derived and expanded from the Sabeel Contemporary Way of the Cross to include the realities of Gaza within the Easter narrative, serves to aid participants of the Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage. This initiative is a network of independent Christian groups united by a common belief, participating in a contemplative act of solidarity in various cities globally.

Through this booklet, Sabeel aims to vividly present Christ’s teachings within the historical and present-day adversities faced by our Palestinian community, particularly in Gaza. Holy Week does not only symbolize suffering and anguish but also Jesus’ approach of kindness, nonviolence, and, ultimately, resurrection—offering solace and motivation.

Welcome to FOSNAs new and expanding Lenten Resources page for upcoming events, archived videos, writings, and actions to take throughout the Lenten season.

Remembering the trials faced by Jesus in the wilderness, may we have the courage to reject the enticements of empire and political expediency and stand for truth regardless the cost. In our prayers, may we examine and repent of all the ways we find ourselves complicit in the suffering, dispossession, and dehumanization of others. In our fasting, may our hearts be turned to all those facing imminent famine, a result of deliberate policy choices. May we then be spurred into action for justice and peace, most especially for an immediate ceasefire, the provision of lifesaving humanitarian aid, and an end to Genocide.
