Prophetic Action: Christians Convening for Palestine

Conference Start Date:
Thursday, September 27, 2018 to Friday, September 28, 2018

Join us for Prophetic Action: Christians Convening for Palestine, a gathering of Christian leaders and their close allies in concert with this year’s US Campaign for Palestinian Rights conference in St. Paul, Minnesota. With over 100 participants signed up so far, Prophetic Action will be one of the largest ecumenical gatherings of Christian leaders and activists for Palestinian rights. Together, we will discuss liberative theologies across faiths, celebrate our growing church wins, and reflect on the impact of our activism!

To join us in St. Paul, we ask that you answer a few brief questions about your interest in the conference and Palestinian solidarity work. Once you have submitted your answers, we will send you the link for registration. Registration is $125 per person and includes entrance to all conference events. Our gathering will begin at 1:00 p.m. on September 27 and continue until 5:00 p.m. the next day. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with leading and emerging Christian activists, to strengthen our framework of liberation theology for action, and to identify strategies for future collective action!

We are excited to have Reverend Traci Blackmon, executive minister of justice & local church ministries for the United Church of Christ, as our keynote speaker on Thursday. Along with Reverend Blackmon, we will hear from other faith leaders and Palestinian organizers throughout the convening, including Reverend Jim Bear Jacobs from the Racial Justice at Minnesota Council of Churches, Lara Kiswani from the Arab Resource and Organizing Center, Omar Haramy from Sabeel Jerusalem, and Sandra Tamari from the Adalah Justice Project. Friday, we will engage in workshops on topics ranging from the role of churches in municipal divestment campaigns to frameworks for joint struggle and interfaith dialogue. Check out more of the program here.
