In the Footsteps of Jesus
Many first-century conditions that shaped Jesus' life and ministry continue to shape the lives of Palestinians and Israelis today. In addition to exploring the holy stones — the historic places and sites that have defined our faith—participants will engage the Living Stones: Jews, Muslims, and Christians who live in the land.
Participants will explore the holy sites of Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Nazareth; visit a settlement, the Abrahamic mosque, and divided city of Hebron; tour Jericho and float on the Dead Sea; share communion on the shores of the Sea of Galilee; harvest at Tent of Nations; visit Global Ministries partners at Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, B'tselem, Rawdat el Zahur School, East Jerusalem YMCA, Kairos Palestine, and other partners for peace; meet and discuss differing perspectives on the current situation with Christian, Jewish, and Muslim leaders.
Cost: $2,475 for double occupancy; excludes airfare, lunches, drinks, and souvenirs
