Conference Start Date:
Wednesday, January 2, 2013 to Monday, January 14, 2013

Sabeel - Tree of Life Trip
Fact Finding Journey to Israel-Palestine

January 2 to January 14, 2013

During our travels, we will meet Israeli, Palestinian and international peace activists, political leaders and experts. We will witness the methods used by the Israeli authorities to limit Palestinian freedom of movement and access to land and water resources including house demolition, settlement construction, the separation wall, the checkpoints and bypass roads. We will investigate Palestinian popular resistance and will look at how Israeli policies effect health, education, and social institutions. We will also examine the 1948 Nakba and its aftermath, the status of non-Jewish Israeli citizens and will visit refugee camps.

Our journey will take us to Jerusalem, Nazareth, Haifa, Jaffa, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron. Along the way we will enjoy Palestinian hospitality and culture.

The cost of 11-day tour excluding airfare is $1750. It includes double occupancy hotel accommodations, all meals, ground transportation, speakers’ honoraria, donations to host organization, tour guides, entrance fees, and tips.

Travel Scholarships
A limited number of partial travel scholarships is available for qualified students, teachers and clergy.
