Ongoing Campaigns
*Two Peoples: One Future [2] ad campaign
On May 17, 2011, Sabeel DC Metro helped kick off Washington, DC's Two Peoples: One Future [2] ad campaign, an initiative that has brought pro-justice, pro-peace ads to the public transit systems of five American cities so far ! Here's a video [3] of the event.
*Boycott Ahava Cosmetics
On Saturday, June 26, 2010, human rights activists staged a protest action in front of Ulta Cosmetics Salon, in Silver Spring, MD, just north of Washington, D.C. The store sells the Ahava line of cosmetics products. Sabeel DC Metro member, Paul H. Verduin, spoke on camera about the reasons for the demonstration. [4]
*Outreach
Sabeel DC Metro is engaged in continual outreach by participating in local conferences, panels, and film screenings that help bring the full story of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict to a wider public. Please contact us [5] if you are planning an event and would like suggestions about speakers and other resources.
