Women committed to justice and peace in Palestine-Israel are planning a fall pilgrimage to the holy sites and to walk and talk with women who are struggling to make peaceful lives for themselves, their children and their neighbor’s children.

We are activists, chaplains, scholars, teachers, and women of prayer. We are lay and clergy. We have each participated in witness trips and pilgrimages that have changed our lives. Our hope is to ‘delve deeper’ into our witness and conversations with other women in Palestine-Israel and in own communities. After numerous conversations among us and with other friends, we are coordinating a witness trip by women for women, for both first-time and returning pilgrims.

We will stay in Bethlehem, Jerusalem and near the Sea of Galilee so that we can visit with Christian, Jewish, and Muslim women for thoughtful inquiry into realities ‘on the ground’ to deepen our understanding of the impact current conditions have on the spiritual, physical, emotional, and economic lives of women and their families. Opportunities for daily worship, visits to holy sites and free time are built into our trip.

The total cost per person, including meals, most ground transportation (except transport to and from the airport), visits to holy sites, and speakers will be $1,600.00 (double/shared room) or $2,000.00 (single occupancy).  Participants will make and pay for their own air travel. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is due by August 1 with full payment due by September 1. There is an optional 1-3 day post trip visit to Istanbul for an additional fee.
