Abuelaish Family Interview

Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, a Palestinian doctor from Gaza who worked in Israeli hospitals, lost three children in January, 2009, during Operation Cast Lead. His ordeal was broadcast live on Israeli TV. Interviewed on Canadian television a year and a half later, Dr. Abuelaish and his surviving daughters tell us of their determination to pursue justice while refusing to hate. This interview is difficult to watch. Yet by exposing their pain so nakedly, it reminds us of the human cost of the conflict, and why the world must come together to stop it.
