Confirmed Keynote Speakers:

Richard Horsley is the Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts and the Study of Religion at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and author of Jesus and Empire: The Kingdom of God and the New World Disorder.

John Dear is a Jesuit priest, pastor, peacemaker, organizer, lecturer, and retreat leader and the author/editor of 25 books.

Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town

Naim Ateek, Director of Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center

Mazin Qumsiyeh, Professor, Bethlehem & Birzeit Universities. Author of “Popular Resistance in Palestine” and “Sharing the Land of Canaan”

Chris Ferguson, Executive for the WCC United Nations Liaison Office


Bible Study led by Ched Myers, author of Binding the Strong Man: A Political Reading of Mark’s Story of Jesus. Ched has been an organizer and advocate who has for 30 years been challenging and supporting Christians to
engage in peace and justice work and radical discipleship.”

The cost includes a non-refundable registration fee of $300, all accommodations and meals for 6 days, all transportation and honoraria during the visit. It does NOT include airfare, transportation to and from the airport, personal expenses, souvenirs, or travel insurance.

Post Conference Tour starts on March 1st, immediately after the conference and ends on March 3rd before dinner. It is a three day tour with visits to Galilee (Sea of Galilee and its holy sights), Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Jericho. We will stay in the Bethlehem Hotel during the tour and make day trips. Total cost is $450.
