Volunteers

To volunteer in the national office, please send email to our volunteer coordinator and tell them what you are interested in doing. For other volunteer opportunities, please check with the specific Friends of Sabeel Group in your area.

National Office

Volunteer staff needed (two to five hours a week) for the following tasks:

  • Office Support Volunteer for data entry, mailings, filing, phone calling, donor services, book/video orders
  • Church Outreach Volunteers to contact area churches and promote FOS speakers, materials
  • Educational Materials Organizer (in-house printing to re-supply library of documents, brochures, fliers)
  • Communications/Media Coordinator to disseminate news releases, work with community access
  • Sabeel Chapter Liaison to maintain communications with regional coordinators, chapters, and groups
  • Web site Content Manager to coordinate site updates through webmaster
  • U.S. Campaign to End the Occupation Liaison to coordinate efforts with FOSNA

Occasional volunteers needed for the following tasks:

  • Occasional bulk mailing volunteers for folding, labeling, inserting, sealing, and zip-coding
  • Special events promotion, hospitality, area set-up, clean-up
  • Internet research on issues of interest for posting to Web site
  • Grant research and proposal writing
  • National telephone campaign-call volunteer

If you are not in an area with a Sabeel chapter, you can help promote Friends of Sabeel through your church.

  • Schedule a Friends of Sabeel Tabling Sunday-we will supply you with the materials for tabling.
  • Start a Sabeel study group in your church and be your church leaders on issues related to the Holy Land and the Palestinian Christians.
  • Register for a Sabeel Solidarity Visit to the Holy Land (just yourself or a group from your church)
  • Be a Sabeel Partner Church Coordinator and start a Sabeel chapter in your area.
